![]() The little TB clinic was filled with more than 140 people, and it was obvious that a much larger hospital was needed to treat those afflicted with the condition. Tuberculosis was becoming an epidemic in Valley Station, Pleasure Ridge Park, and other parts of Jefferson County in Kentucky. Sanatoriums were built on high hills surrounded by peaceful woods to create a serene atmosphere to help the patients recover. People who were afflicted with Tuberculosis were isolated from the general public and placed in an area where they could rest, stay calm, and have plenty of fresh air. At the time, Tuberculosis was a very serious disease. The building was designed to accommodate 40-50 tuberculosis patients safely. Construction on this building began in 1908 and opened for business on July 26, 1910. Originally, Waverly Hills Sanatorium was a two-story frame building with a hipped roof and half-timbering. ![]() Her love for the tiny school, in addition to her fondness for Scott’s “Waverley Novels,” prompted her to name the little schoolhouse, “Waverley School.” Major Hays liked the name, and chose to name his property “Waverley Hill.” The Board of Tuberculosis Hospital kept the name after purchasing the land and opening the Sanatorium. He hired a woman named Lizzie Lee Harris to teach at the school. Major Hays was in need of a school for his daughters to attend, so he started a one-room schoolhouse that was located on Pages Lane. Waverly Hills Sanatorium sits on land that was originally purchased by Major Thomas H. ex: bad weather, bad road conditions, etc.ġ0) WHHS reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.ġ1) Ticket user assumes responsibility for any AND all injuries. This new series appears to be more of the glorious same.1) Access to the grounds is granted 30 minutes before the event starts, unless other arrangements have been made.Ģ) Loitering in the parking lot is not permitted after your event or while other events are taking place.ģ) Service animals are the only animals allowed in the building. There were countless laugh-out-loud moments throughout Unsolved’s run between the two and their conflicting beliefs. As fans would know, Bergara is the believer of the group with Madej’s skeptical approach always making the pair humorously butt heads. Waverly Hills is one of the most reportedly haunted places in the United States, so that is not for the faint of heart. In the video we see Madej hiding a walkie talkie for Bergara to find before he investigates alone. However, there’s a bit of a twist in this new show. This is the same footage that was shown at VidCon just last month, and it brings back the now classic set up of Bergara going into a dark scary location alone. The 10-minute sneak peek takes fans back to Waverly Hills Sanatorium and quickly reintroduces us to Bergara and Madej’s irresistible banter. ![]() The series is set to premiere this September, just in time for the spooky season, and this lovable ghost hunting duo have just given fans a first look at the series’ premiere. ![]() The hit series ran for seven seasons before ending last year, but fear not, everyone's favorite Ghoul Boys are almost back in their new paranormal series Ghost Files. However, one of the more zany series to come out of this craze was Buzzfeed Unsolved: Supernatural, which was hosted by Ryan Bergara and Shane Madej. Over the last two decades we have had an abundance of paranormal reality TV shows thanks to popular hits like Ghost Hunters. ![]()
